Expanding Education Opportunities
Let's work towards Helsinki offering more language courses, vocational training, and skill development programs for immigrants. We should focus on creating easily accessible learning opportunities that support their integration and success in the workforce.
Developing and Strengthening Employment Services
Helsinki should develop programs that help immigrants find jobs. This includes language-integrated work placement programs, personalized career counseling, and internships to enable immigrants to build careers and contribute to the city’s economy.
Supporting Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Helsinki needs to create better opportunities for supporting immigrant entrepreneurship and for starting and growing businesses. Through education, mentoring, and funding, innovative companies can be supported, leading to business growth and the creation of new jobs.

Caring for Seniors in Helsinki: A Dignified Life at Home and in the Community

Improving Home Care Services:
Helsinki's home care services are currently under pressure. This challenge can be addressed by increasing resources and developing personalized support options, so that seniors can live independently at home for longer while receiving the care they need.

Smooth Access to Healthcare in Helsinki – Everyone's Right to Good Health

Ensuring Accessible and Efficient Healthcare in Helsinki: Helsinki must ensure that health centers operate efficiently and access to care is expedited. This requires increased investments in staff, resources, and digital solutions to guarantee that every patient receives the time and attention they need. At the same time, this can significantly reduce overcrowding in emergency services.

Affordable Housing and Entrepreneurship – Helsinki for All

Affordable Housing:
Helsinki's housing market needs to be developed so that every resident has access to affordable housing. Special focus should be placed on helping young families and low-income individuals settle in the city.
Support for Small Businesses:
Helsinki must create more opportunities for small businesses by supporting their growth and reducing bureaucracy. Entrepreneurship is key to generating jobs and boosting the vitality of our city.

The demand for educational spots is growing in the Helsinki region, and we must ensure that young people have the chance to train and prepare for the workforce. Helsinki must invest in education to remain competitive.

Who Can Vote?

You can vote if you are a citizen of Finland, another EU country, Iceland, or Norway, and you are 18 or older on election day. You must also live in the municipality on the 51st day before the election, as defined by law.
Other foreign citizens can vote if they are 18 or older on election day, live in the municipality on the 51st day before the election, and have lived in Finland continuously for at least 2 years before that date.

Advance voting in Finland: April 2–8, 2025
Advance voting abroad: April 2–5, 2025
Election Day: Sunday, April 13, 2025

Where Can You Vote?

You can vote at designated polling stations within your municipality or region. Advance voting is available at specific locations such as post offices, municipal offices, and embassies for those voting abroad. You can find the locations on your municipality or regional authority’s website or through official election channels.
